LEELAWATI SAMAJ SEWA was established in Austria in 1949.’s Villages started operating in India in 1964. With our 31 SOS Children, we have reached over 65,000 children over the course of more than 60 years.’s Over 83000 lives in India are favorably impacted by villages and 27 community programs. Giving vulnerable communities and families hope, leelawati samaj has worked with children, communities, disaster-stricken and disaster-prone areas. At LEELAWATI SAMAJ SEWA’s At Villages India, we are dedicated to the well-being of children who have been left without parents or cared for in neglect. We also find methods to fortify families and communities in order to ward off social neglect and abandonment.
Through the Family Strengthening Programme (FSP), over 83000 lives have been impacted and over 38,000 children have gained empowerment as a result of this preventative community intervention programme. This initiative, which operates in slums, was created to shield kids from abandonment or loss of parental supervision. & rural areas, within a 30 km radius of an SOS Children’s Village. Children from the most vulnerable households—widows, single mothers, Below Poverty Line (BPL) families, and families whose livelihoods have been negatively damaged by disasters—are the program's beneficiaries.
